Expectations for EDCI337

My name is Zhengqiao Zhong, this is my third year in Uvic, and my major is economics.

I am very interested in multimedia teaching and learning, and the learning styles offered to students and teachers have become very diverse in recent years. Since the beginning of covid-19, online learning has become more and more common. While online learning has become more flexible in terms of time and place, there is still room for change in the way education is taught compared to face-to-face teaching. Because in multimedia learning, it is difficult for teachers to observe students’ learning situation or get timely feedback, and there may be more things that will affect students’ attention in multimedia learning. Therefore, it is very necessary to use multimedia reasonably to attract students’ attention and use more efficient learning methods. But this is not a very simple matter.

If you can also receive timely feedback from classmates or teachers during the online learning process, as shown in the above picture, it will be a very good learning method. This is the advantage of teachers using interactive multimedia in the classroom. In the study this week and last week, I found that when studying online, there are many principles that need to be followed and learned to improve learning efficiency.

So in this class, I look forward to understanding the role and advantages of using interactive multimedia in learning.
